Academic Camp Details
Academic Camp at Camp Carden is designed to strengthen core skills in a focused, supportive setting. Each week targets a specific academic area, allowing campers to build confidence, sharpen foundational skills, and maintain academic momentum throughout the summer months.
Half-Day Academic Program
Academic Camp runs from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM during select weeks of the summer. Campers participate in structured lessons, guided practice, and engaging activities designed to strengthen essential academic skills and build confidence.
Extend the Day
Families may extend the day by enrolling in Afternoon Enrichment Camp. Academic campers stay on campus for lunch and join the enrichment group for creative projects, outdoor play, and themed activities—creating a full-day experience from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.
The afternoon option can be added during registration.

Math Builders
July 27–31
Grades K–2
Build strong number sense through math games, hands-on activities, and puzzles that explore counting, patterns, basic operations, and problem-solving.
Grades 3–6
Strengthen math skills through strategy games, real-world problem solving, logic challenges, and activities that reinforce operations, fractions, and mathematical reasoning.

Reading Adventures
August 3–7
Grades K–2
Develop early reading skills through engaging stories, phonics activities, vocabulary games, and creative projects that build comprehension and confidence.
Grades 3–6
Dive deeper into reading with guided discussions, vocabulary building, comprehension strategies, and activities that strengthen critical thinking and interpretation.

Writing & Language Lab
August 10–14
Grades K–2
Explore storytelling through drawing, sentence-building activities, and creative writing projects that encourage imagination and clear expression.
Grades 3–6
Strengthen writing skills through creative prompts, storytelling, paragraph development, and activities that focus on organization, voice, and clear communication..
